What is Fractional Leadership?

Simply put, Fractional Leadership is taking someone who has vast leadership experience in a particular area, and bringing them into your organization at a fraction of the cost and for a fraction of the time.  This allows organizations to get the help that they need without the commitment, cost, and ramp-up time that a full-time new hire would take.  You would make a Fractional Leader a part of your company's leadership team to deliver new ideas and perspectives and help you drive a particular function to a new level.

The Difference between Consulting and Fractional Leadership?

As a team who has worked with and for many Fortune 500 companies over the last 25 years, we have brought in many typical consultants.  What we have found is that the goal of these consultants is typically to point out issues within an organization, whether it be process improvements, business gaps, organizational issues, or otherwise. While this can be helpful from a knowledge perspective, it’s the implementation part that is most critical.  Many consultants may leave valuable data but who is going to put it all into action? Who understands the business or its capacity to get it all done? At JL2 our consulting services do just that, we work together with you to help you implement desired changes to help you reach your goals.  While we often find this approach successful, we also recognize the need to be further embedded within the business we are trying to help. Acting as a "C Suite" member will allow us to work directly with the various business functions and help drive change from the inside, that is where fractional leadership comes into play.
